John Ralph has been a top broker at The Wells Group (Durango’s #1 Real Estate Agency and a Leading Real Estate Company of the World) since he became a REALTOR® 30 years ago. He has dedicated his career to helping buyers in the Durango area and with their moves around the country. After attending his first State convention and listening to instructors/mentors like Howard Brinton, he quickly realized that education was the key to success in Real Estate and proceeded to get the GRI designation and immediately went on to become a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designee. He loves helping buyers, whether they are first timers or old pros and was a very early adopter getting his ABR® (Accredited Buyer's Representative) Designation back in 2004. This has proven to be extremely beneficial to his clients who have taken advantage of his expertise and knowledge of everything from residential to resort to ranch type properties. The knowledge gained through years of ABR® tips and information helped him with the insight of what buyers would want most when he built a community of 32 workforce priced townhomes to help young families get into a very tight market.
John has been actively involved in the Real Estate community throughout his career, being on the local Durango Area Association of REALTORS® board for over 15 years, being President of the Board (2 years in a row) & REALTOR® of the Year. He also served on the Colorado Association of REALTORS® State Board as one of the 6 State District VPs.
John is also one of the original 250 charter members of RSPS (Resort & Second Home Property Specialist) and earned the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) along with expanding his knowledge of Commercial Real Estate by taking 4 of the week long CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) courses.
Education is something that John continually emphasizes to new members of The Wells Group that he has helped mentor. He has even taught the "Wake Up Money" seminar developed by Larry Kendall to the community to help people understand how to secure their future through buying Real Estate.
John knows that he can help his buyers where ever they are going because of the strong referral system that he has built over the years through personal contacts at classes, conventions and CRS Sell-a-brations and with over 4,000 names in his database of top REALTORS® around the country, he can pick up the phone and call someone he has met in almost any town, anywhere.
He has continually proven to be a positive influence in the REALTOR® community by passing on the knowledge of his years to encourage agents to become much better professionals through education and REALTOR® designations like the ABR®.
